tookalook store A Fine & Rare African (Ngbaka) Figure Questions? Inquiries? Please email me at info@tookalook.com This is a rare Ngbandi figure of the Ngbaka people (DRC). Representing the 'Ngbirondo' spirit, theis type of figure is placed at doors and village entrances to ward off evil spirits. Immediately recognizable by it's serrated nose crest and with brass tack along the head's center ridge the work has great patina as seen. With excellent presence the enclosed has excellent 'spirit' in person. Ca. Mid 20th Cent. is no exception to this, presenting great motion and an engaging expression. With excellent wear and patina the work measures 11" 1/2 x 3" x 2" 3/4 and is in excellent condition. ==================================================== Please note that payment must be processed before shipping (VISA/MC ACCEPTED) and that such shipping is at buyer's expense (actual cost).
