Please email me at info@tookalook.com This is a fantastic Chokwe maternity figure ex the collection of noted collector Jean Pierre Hallet.  Ca. mid 20th Cent. and with superb execution the figure is beautifully balanced and is adorned with intricate scarification details.  Although originally listed as Pende, I have been corrected in reattributing it to Chokwe (as the styles do cross over in this region where the two tribes meet).  Of particular note is the exceptional 'success' of both mother and baby, each with it's own expression and character.  With great patina and measuring approx 14" the work is quite exceptional (and in excellent condition, one dryness crack aside..)   ==================================================== Please note that payment must be processed before shipping (VISA/MC ACCEPTED) and that such shipping is at buyer's expense (actual cost).
