THIS AUCTION IS FOR 1 ANTIQUE HAND CARVED AFRICAN ELEPHANT TUSK , IT APPEARS TO BE SOME SORT OF POWER FIGURE,EFFIGY OR SENUFO ,THESE WERE USED TO ILLUSTRATE STORIES OF THEIR ANCESTORS,THIS PIECE MEASURES JUST AROUND 11 1/4 INCHES TALL AND 2 INCHES INCHES WIDE IT DOES SHOW WEAR AND TEAR AS A USED STATUE ,IT IS EITHER STAINED OR SMOKED IT SHOWS A COUPLE LIGHT CRACKS DUE TO AGE AND ONE CHIP OR FLAW IN THE TOP OF ITS HEAD, THIS IS A GOOD SOLID PIECE AND WEIGHS 1 POUND 2.5 OUNCES,,IT IS GENUINE ELEPHANT IVORY SHOWING EXCELLENT GRAINING (LINES OF RETSIUS) THIS PIECE CAME FROM AN ESTATE THAT I AM LIQUIDATING AS AN INHERITANCE FOR MY CLIENTS,THE ENTIRE COLLECTION IS IN EXCESS OF 300 PIECES THEY CAME FROM A WW 2 VET THAT COLLECTED PIECES FROM THE 1930'S THROUGH 1980'S AND REPRESENTS A LIFETIME LOVE OF TRIBAL ART FROM AFRICA,ASIA,ALASKA,EUROPE AND OTHERS,THIS IVORY WAS OBTAINED LEGALLY BEFORE THE CITES BAN Addendum:-I have legal possession of the item and am legally permitted to sell it according to the Cites organization,Federal,State and local jurisdictions -I CAN ONLY OFFER THIS ITEM FOR SALE TO PERSONS LIVING IN THE U.S. -I am a registed member of the United States Ebay site -I can only offer domestic shipping from a location within the United States PLEASE DONT LET MY LACK OF FFEDBACK KEEP YOU FROM BIDDING THIS IS A SECOND ACCOUNT THAT I STARTED TO SELL COLLECTIBLE ITEMS,MY OTHER ACCOUNT HAS OVER 1200 POSITIVE FEEDBACKS WITH NO NEGATIVES,I WANT YOUR POSITIVE FEEDBACK AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO EARN IT...unless otherwise specified the auction are for the items in the picture only please check photos carefully,I can send you closeups in medium resolution upon request.As an honest businessman I want you to have a good experience on Ebay.SHIPPING: I ship 3 days per week Monday thru Friday ...
