' Description Keris pusaka from East Java with very rare pamor Sodo Saler. This is a very nice and old straight keris from East Java (Indonesia).The dapur (shape) of the keris is Brodjol . Special about this keris is the very rare pamor Sodo Saler. As you can see this keris has still a very nice pamor line on the blade (see detailed pictures). This pamor is called Sodo Saler what is free translated: Vein of a plam leaf. This pamor is considered protective and gives supernatural power. I will quote from Tammens Vol2:This is a pamor for warriors. Its protective, supernatural power makes warriors invincible. . Also on page 13 of the new book about The Keris by Jean Greffioz: The Kris A passion from Indonesia there is a nice example of an very old Kris with pamor Sodo Saler (also known as Sada Saler). This keris is very old, probably made 18th century. The wooden handle is "Nunggak Semi", style from Solo, but also used in eastern Java. As you can see the handle is matching well with the scabbard and keris. The wooden warangka (scabbard) has a very rare, Gayaman like shape. But this is has a slightly different and very rare. The keris is fitting good in the scabbard as you can see on the detailed picture. The wood is very nice (see the detailed pictures). The kerisblade is +/- 28 cm and the total length of the keris in the scabbard is 49 cm.
