Each piece contains the French governments Head of the Minerva-1 Hallmark, signifying a minimum of 950 sterling,  along with the hallmark of the Silversmith Jean Granvigne, generally known as one France's best 19th century silversmiths.  He was active in Paris at 4 rue Baranger during the late 1800 and early 1900s.  The firm was eventually bought by the Tetard Group.
