Thanks for shopping with WeMissTheOcean! We are offering for sale, a rare and remarkable suite of documented Lamb Studios stained glass windows, featuring the California Coastline. They reflect Americas Artistry in glass and the best period of opalescent glass. This remarkable suite of three allegorical windows was composed and designed by Frederick S. Lamb in the natural or landscape style and were executed by J & R Lamb Studios, Flatbush, New York City and installed in their present location in 1913. The center window, about 19ft. high and 7ft. – 9in. wide and conveys an impression of paradise, a center path in the forest between colorful, flowering bushes done in chunk glass and swaying palm trees in front a path leading to the mountain. The flowering rhododendrons are done in chunk glass. The palm fronds appear to be art glass judging by the way the blue, green and gold leaves shimmer with sun behind them. The three ventilation windows set below are inscribed with biblical sayings. The flanking left side window, with an ocean view, measures 5ft. - 5in. wide and about 17ft. high. The deep blue color of the ocean water is difficult to illustrate in a photo. The flanking right side window, illustrates the rugged cliffs of the California coastline in the summer, and measures the same as the ocean window. All of the ventilator windows at the bottom measure 22in. high. There are double layers of glass on the back side for perspective. The glass is set in limestone tracery, and protected by the hammered plate glass originally included in the installation. If your Palace, Hotel, Casino or Chapel is looking a little lackluster, and needs a touch of Paradise, this may be the solution! For architectural dealers, if you have a client desiring a pair of the side windows, or the center window itself, we may be able to accommodate you. The windows are located in the Northeast USA, and viewing can be arranged on short notice. We do not have the skills to remove, crate and ship ourselves, however we have several qualified companies in the area, who have the ability to safely remove and crate the windows for shipping. There are about 10 minor linear fractures in the windows (that we can see), and the ventilation windows have numerous breaks. Any smudging you might see is simply grime on the outside of the window and in between the protective glass. We are asking $349,000 for the three windows. A $15,000 credit will be given towards removal and/or shipping, by the buyers contractor of choice.
